Montmartre is a very touristic area. To enjoy it, I prefer to go there early in the morning even if the weather is not good. In fact, I think I took my best pictures that day just after the rain stopped. Wet cobblestones give a more authentic atmosphere.

While visiting Montmartre, you may fall into this historic restaurant called Le Consulat, one of the oldest houses in Montmartre.

The café has been visited by many 19th century artists such as Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Monet, and Picasso.
